We here at Top CD Rates saw that we haven’t reviewed Wells Fargo CD rates in a couple of months, so we thought we should give you some updates. Current rates have dropped from what they were when we last looked.

Wells Fargo Bank CD rates are rarely at the top of the list in returns, so their strong point is definitely their large national presence with local branches in nearly every major city. Top CD rates can be found elsewhere, but convenience is Wells Fargo’s strong point. There are four special offer Wells Fargo Bank CD rates right now on 7, 13, 25, and 39 month terms.

These specials have a $5,000 minimum deposit. They auto-renew for another term (listed in parenthesis) at standard CD rates. The Wells Fargo Bank certificate of deposit rates for 7 months (renews for 6 months) is 0.79% APY, the 13 month rate (renews for 12 months) is 1.37% APY. Wells Fargo CD rates for 25 months (renews at 24 months) is 1.93% APY and for 39 months (renews at 36 months) is 2.88% APY.

Other standard Wells Fargo Bank CD rates are for 3 months at 0.10% APY, six months at 0.10% APY, and 1 year at .040% APY, 0.60% APY, and 0.90% APY depending on total deposit. Minimum deposits for these standard rates is $2,500.
