ING Direct CD rates are the highest for four and five years of investment. ING does not offer the best rates as compared to some other companies. The company offers plenty of investment options other than the certificates of deposit. CD rates are subject to change as per the changes in national economic outlook.

Since we’re always looking for the Top CD Rates here, we thought we should have another look at Ally Bank CD rates, since they often have the top CD rates available.

Midvale, Utah-based Ally Bank has introduced some of the highest profit margins on investments. Ally CD rates are applicable on any type of investment, irrespective of the balance amount. The bank does not ask for any minimum balance at the opening of CD accounts.

Ally Bank CD rates are following generally fixed rates in recent years and the bank has started giving these certificates with an APY of 1.84% for a 12-month term. CD rates at Ally Bank for a 3-month CD will have an APY of 1.00%. A 6-month CD will return 1.40% APY and 9-months CD will return 1.20%.

Ally certificate of deposit rates increase with longer terms of investments. A 2-year certificate will return an APY of 2.19% whereas a 3-year certificate returns 2.49%. All of these CDs are offered under the high yield investment option of the company. These investments have higher rates than market average.

The bank offers top CD rates for 4-year and 5-year certificates are 2.74% and 3.10%, respectively. Ally bank also offers no penalty CD with a relatively higher APY for a 9-month term at 1.24%.

Ally Bank also offers CDs for the money market accounts. They offer a variable APY of 1.50% for these accounts. There are no monthly fees and minimum deposits for money market accounts and they follow the general terms of investment for other CD accounts.

Here at Top CD Rates, we try to provide our readers the best CD rates available out there in the market today. Today we shall focus on Discover Bank CD rates especially since after an in depth analysis, we found that Discover CD rates are very high in both Interest and Annual Percentage Yield in comparison to several other well known banks such as Chase, National Average and even Bank of America.

Discover Bank offers 12 different terms ranging from 3 months to a period of 10 years. Rest assured, Discover Bank is FDIC insured promising safety and security to their customers.

Without further ado, here are the Interest CD Rates provided in Discover Bank according to the term: for 3 months the interest rate is at 0.75%, for 6 months the interest rate is at 1.00%, for 9 months it is at 1.20%, for 12 months it is at 1.84%, for 18 months it is at 1.88%, for 24 months and 30 months the interest rate is at 2.23%, for 3 years it is at 2.57%, for 4 years it is at 2.81%, for 5 years (the most popular chosen term in Discover Bank) the interest rate is at 3.25%, for 7 years it is at 3.39% and for the final term of 10 years the interest rate is at 3.63%.

Although the APY does not differ much from the Interest Rate, there is a slight difference which should be acknowledged. For terms of 3 months, 6 months and 9 months, the APY rates are exactly the same as the Interest rates. For the term of 12 months, the APY increases by 0.01% more than the Interest rate making it 1.85% instead of 1.84%. For 18 months, the APY is at 1.90%, for 24 months it is at 2.25%, for 30 months it is at 2.25%, for 3 years it is at 2.60%, for 4 years it is at 2.85%, for 5 years the APY is at 3.30%, for 6 years it is at 3.45%, for 7 years it is at 3.45% and at the final term of 10 years the APY is at 3.70% making a difference of 0.07% compared to the Interest Rate of the same 10 year term.

It’s been a while since we here at Top CD Rates updated you on the latest with Chase Bank CD Rates. So we’ll look at them today and see what Chase CD rates have to offer you.

There are still six special terms with the top CD rates in Chase’s arsenal. These require a $10,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain and they auto-renew at the same term at standard rates.

For 7 months, the special is 0.50% APY (annual percentage yield), for 13 months it’s 1.01% APY, for 24 months 1.65% APY, for 30 months 2.00% APY, for 48 months 2.50% APY, and for 60 months the top CD rates are 3.00% APY.

Standard Chase certificate of deposit rates require a $1,000 minimum deposit to open and maintain, and are offered in five terms. These will auto-renew unless you specify otherwise.

Chase Bank CD rates for both 6 month and 12 month terms are 0.25% APY. For 18 months, the Chase CD rates are 0.75% APY. For both 24 and 36 month terms, the Chase certificate of deposit rates are 1.01% APY.

These standard terms are about national average, maybe somewhat below, and are definitely not the top CD rates available today. The specials that Chase Bank CD rates offers, however, are very good and worth considering for sure.

Chase Bank is, of course, FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these Chase certificate of deposit rates appeal to you, lock yours in today. Chase CD rates change often to match the current market.

It’s been a little while since we looked at ING CD rates here at Top CD Rates, so we thought we’d have another look and bring you an update. Let’s look at the competitive offers being given for CD rates at ING Direct.

By far, the most competitive of ING CD rates is their special “Added Value” offer on a 12 month certificate of deposit rates of 2.25% annual percentage yield (APY). That outclasses nearly every other ING Direct CD rates on the list.

A shorter-term six month offer at 1.55% APY is available, which is above the national average. The 9 month, by comparison, is at 1.15% APY. Other CD rates at ING Direct are the 18, 24, 30, and 36 month offers at 1.50% APY. 48 and 60 month terms give a 1.75% APY in ING CD rates.

If you’re in need of a business CD, then there are some CD rates at ING Direct worth looking at as well. The shining star is again the 12 month certificate of deposit rates at 2.10% APY with others being the six month 1.55% APY. Then ING CD rates on 18, 24, 30, and 36 month offers are 1.50% APY.

For IRA retirement ING Direct CD rates, they are about the same as the business rates. The highlight is again the 12 month CD at 2.10% APY with the 6 month rate also shining at 1.55% APY.

ING Direct bank account (including CDs) are FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. If any of these certificate of deposit rates appeal to you, lock your rate in todya as ING Direct CD rates can change at any time.

You are no doubt aware that most of the GMAC Bank certificate of deposit accounts are now changed to Ally Bank. For this look, however, we will continue using the GMAC name to avoid confusion as many are still working with local GMAC branches whose names have not yet changed. It’s been a little while since we here at Top CD Rates have looked at the GMAC Bank CD rates.

We will compare current top CD rates first by term and then ranked by annual percentage yield (APY).

Specials in GMAC Certificate of Deposit
Current specials are the No Penalty CD which has a 9 month term and auto-renews for another 6 months at standard rates. With a 1.75% APY, one of the best CD rates at GMAC, the certificate allows you to withdraw or close the account once during its duration.

Terms and Best GMAC Bank CD Rates
Most of the offerings for GMAC Bank CD accounts are national leaders.

A 3 month term yields 1.25% APY while a 6 month term gives 1.65% APY. The 9 month standard, compared to the above special, gives a 1.60% APY.

One year gives 2.05% APY as another bonus compared to the 18 month yield of 2.00% APY.

Two years gives 2.30% APY, 3 years a 2.75% APY, and 4 years a 2.95% APY. The popular long-term 5 year term has a whopping 3.40% APY on it.

There are no minimum balances required to open or maintain these GMAC certificate of deposit accounts, so any amount you wish to deposit is good enough.

GMAC Bank (Ally Bank) is FDIC insured to the fullest extent and GMAC Bank CD accounts maturing before January 1, 2013 are eligible for extended $250,000 FDIC insurance.

When we last looked at Chase CD rates, we here at Top CD Rates got a lot of feedback and so we thought it was time to bring you an update on those Chase Bank CD rates.

As before, there are six special offers and five standard Chase certificate of deposit rates to consider. We’ll look at the specials first, as these usually have the top CD rates available.

These specials require a $10,000 minimum opening deposit and offer higher annual percentage yields (APY), but unlike many banks they do not have an auto-renew at lower rates you have to wait for. Let’s look at how these Chase CD rates are performing in the special offers right now.

The 7-month special offers a 0.75% APY, the 13-month a 1.15% APY, and the 18-month a 1.50% APY. The 24-month special offers a 2.00% APY, the 48-month a 2.50% APY and the 60-month a 3.00% APY. Those are some great rates for those terms, compared to other national offers.

The standard Chase Bank CD rates are not as spectacular, of course, but are competitive because they require only a $1,000 minimum deposit to open and they are at somewhat shorter terms. Both the six month and the 12 month terms in standard Chase certificate of deposit rates offer a 0.25% APY while the 18, 24, and 36 month terms offer a 1.01% APY.

Chase Bank is, of course, fully FDIC insured to the fullest extent of the law. The top CD rates you see here will not last long, so if any of these Chase Bank CD rates appeal to you, lock your Chase CD rates in today.

Other Peoples Bank CD rates worth considering are the 91 day short-term rate at 1.00% APY, a 6 month term at 1.25% APY, and 9 or 10 months at 1.35% APY. Definitely some top CD rates there.
